The Delta Science Program is proud to share its inaugural Research Impact Report, highlighting the emerging science and management impacts of the 2019 Delta Research Awards and 2020 Delta Science Fellowships.
Since 2010, the Delta Science Program has invested more than $50 million in over 160 research projects to advance its mission of providing the best possible unbiased science to inform water and environmental decision-making in California’s Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta. Because the influence of research can take years to emerge, understanding and documenting its long-term value is essential.
The new report introduces a framework for tracking research influence over time and shares examples of how funded research is contributing to scientific understanding and informing management in the region.
