From the State Water Resources Control Board:
In August of 2025, the Central Valley Water Board will hold a public hearing concerning proposed revisions to Waste Discharge Requirements General Order No. R5-2014-0030-11 for Growers within the Sacramento River Watershed that are Members of the Third-Party Group. The proposed revisions would exempt agricultural operations located in the Pit River Subwatershed from Irrigated Lands Regulatory Program requirements.
Central Valley Water Board staff is circulating the linked exemption resolution to revise Order R5-2014-0030-11 and draft recommendations documents for public comment. Any interested party may submit comments in writing on the proposed revisions. Written comments must be received by 5:00 pm on 27 June 2025 and may be submitted to Petra.Lee@waterboards.ca.gov.
A public hearing concerning the proposed exemption resolution will be held during the Central Valley Water Board meeting scheduled for 21 or 22 August 2025 in Rancho Cordova. Additional information can be found in the linked Notice of Public Hearing.
