NOTICE of additional 15-day written comment period to the proposed water measurement and reporting revisions

From the State Water Resources Control Board:

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) has updated the text of the proposed revisions for the Water Measurement and Reporting Regulation. The additional changes to California Code of Regulations, title 23, chapters 2 (Appropriation of Water), 2.7 (Water Diversion and Use), and 2.8 (Measuring and Monitoring) are based on public comments received during the previous public comment period. The additional changes are necessary to correct errors, refine definitions, extend deadlines for compliance with new measurement and reporting provisions, clarify the State Water Board’s review process, and other minor changes.

Please note that the State Water Board will only accept written comments on the additional changes to the proposed regulatory text. The State Water Board will not be accepting comments on the revisions previously released on February 28, 2025.
