NOTICE: Water Right Temporary Urgency Change Petitions for the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power withdrawn

From the State Water Resources Control Board:

Notice is hereby given that on May 7, 2025, the City of Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) withdrew their temporary urgency change petitions (TUCPs) for water right Amended Licenses 10191 and 10192 (Applications 8042 and 8043). LADWP has forecasted the 2025-2026 runoff year as Dry-Normal I.

As such, the snowmelt peak flows through Grant Lake Outlet will not need to exceed the current 175 cubic feet per second rotovalve operational limit to meet the Stream Ecosystem Flows for Rush Creek required by the Amended Licenses.

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) will not take further action on the TUCPs or the objections received to date. Objections and comments received on the TUCPs will be made available in the next few weeks; the State Water Board will send another notice when the objections and comments are available.
