From the State Water Resources Control Board:

The State Water Resources Control Board is accepting public comments for the revised Draft Utility Wildfire and Similar Operations and Maintenance Activities Clean Water Act Section 401 Certification and Waste Discharge Requirements General Order (Utility Wildfire General Order).

The comment period begins today, March 28, 2025. Comments must be received before April 29, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Please note that the State Water Board is limiting written comments to revisions compared to the prior draft.

A Public Notice and draft Utility Wildfire General Order, including redlined documents showing changes compared to the prior draft, are available on the State Water Board’s 401 Water Quality Certification and Wetlands Program website (https://www.waterboards.ca.gov/water_issues/programs/cwa401/statewide- utility-wildfire-mitigation-general-order.html)
