From the State Water Board:
The State Water Board Administrative Hearings Office’s hearing on the proposed Sites Reservoir project began in June 2024 with initial presentations of evidence for the “case-in-chief” and will continue with presentation of additional evidence during the “rebuttal” period in February 2025. Next month, the parties will provide additional testimony about the Incidental Take Permits (ITPs), present evidence during the rebuttal period, or both.
Any person or entity can join the hearing to share testimony on the Incidental Take Permits or to present evidence during the rebuttal period or both (even if they haven’t participated in the hearing yet) by emailing sites-wr-application@waterboards.ca.gov. Any supporting documentation or exhibits to be presented must be submitted to sites-wr-application@waterboards.ca.gov by January 31, 2025. Exhibits may include the written proposed testimony of witnesses, the qualifications of any expert witnesses, and other evidence like photographs or technical reports.
Recordings of the previous hearing sessions can be found on the Administrative Hearings Office’s Youtube channel. More information about topics covered on each hearing date, including parties who provided, or will provide, testimony, can be found on the hearing website.
