The USFWS has issued the biological opinion for the Long Term Operations of the Central Valley Project and the State Water Project.
The biological opinion includes an analysis and conclusion of whether or not the entire LTO proposed action is likely to jeopardize each listed and proposed species or destroy or adversely modify designated critical habitat.
According to the transmittal letter:
“The attached BiOp addresses the effects of LTO to 16 federally-listed and proposed species and designated critical habitat. The Service has determined that the proposed action may affect, but is not likely to adverselya ffect four of these species and is not likely to jeopardize the continued existence of 12 species. The Service has deteremined taht the proposed action may affect, but is not likely to adversely affect designated habitat for one species, and is not likely to destroy or adversely modify designated critical habitat for three species.”
