NOTICE: Invitation to discuss the Integrated Report with program staff

The California Integrated Report program staff are available to discuss any aspect of the integrated report program and invite Tribal officials and representatives to open conversation and collaboration. Please contact staff via email at WQAssessment@waterboards.ca.gov if interested.

What is the integrated report? The integrated report is a non-regulatory report about the quality of surface waterbodies in California. The integrated report is developed in compliance with federal Clean Water Act Sections 303(d) list of impaired waters and 305(b) water quality condition report. California must submit the integrated report to the U.S. EPA every two years. Please refer to the Integrated Report Program Fact Sheet for further overview.

What is the status of the Integrated Report?

  • 2026 Integrated Report: Program staff are currently assessing water quality data for the North Coast, Lahontan, Colorado River Basin Regional Water Boards, and the San Joaquin River watershed of the Central Valley Region Water Boards. Program staff will send out additional information inviting interested Tribes for one-on-one conversations following this data analysis. The public review and comment period for the draft Staff Report is planned for early 2025.
  • 2028 Integrated Report: Program staff are currently soliciting data until October 23, 2024, that may be used to assess water quality for the Central Coast, San Diego, and the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and Tulare Lake Basin of the Central Valley Regional Water Boards. Program staff are currently available to answer questions regarding the data submission. Following the closing of the data solicitation period, program staff will be available to discuss data application.
  • 2030 Integrated Report: Program staff will be soliciting data that may be used to assess water quality for the San Francisco Bay, Los Angeles, and the Santa Ana Regional Water Boards and the Sacramento River watershed of the Central Valley Region Water Boards in 2026.
