NOTICE of Proposed Rulemaking for Scott-Shasta Watersheds Emergency Regulation

From the State Water Resources Control Board:

Today, the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board or Board) released a notice of proposed rulemaking for a proposed emergency regulation for the Scott River and Shasta River watersheds. The proposed emergency regulation is attached to the notice and is the regulation as adopted by the State Water Board at its December 19, 2023 meeting.

The Board is required to provide notice of the proposed emergency action at least five (5) working days prior to submission of the proposed emergency regulation to the Office of Administrative Law (OAL). There is no formal comment period associated with this notice and the Board plans to submit the proposed emergency regulation to the Office of Administrative Law for review and approval at the end of the notice period. Comment periods related to the proposed emergency regulation were provided through previous comment periods and meetings, and OAL will provide an additional comment period.
