From the Central Valley Water Quality Control Board:
On September 5, 2023, the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board (Central Valley Water Board) received Management Zone Implementation Plans submitted by the Priority 1 Management Zones (listed below) for the CV-SALTS Nitrate Control Program.
- Chowchilla Management Zone
- Kaweah Water Foundation
- Kings Water Alliance
- Modesto & Turlock Management Zones (Valley Water Collaborative)
- Tule Basin Management Zone
The Management Zone Implementation Plans are posted on the CV-SALTS website: https://www.cvsalinity.org/
Copies of the Management Zone Implementation Plans can also be obtained by contacting or visiting the Central Valley Water Board office at 11020 Sun Center Drive, #200, Rancho Cordova, California 95670, on weekdays between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
The Central Valley Water Board will provide a notice of opportunity for public comment on the Management Zone Implementation Plans in the near future.
