Coming Monday, October 9: The California Water Library

New innovative information tool will put volumes of information at your fingertips

Dear Readers,

On Monday, I will be launching a new companion website, the California Water Library (www.CAWaterLibrary.net).  It’s is the culmination of more than a year of work with my talented web team, and I think what we’ve put together is going to be a fantastic resource.  I have been crawling all over the agency websites as well as working with NGOs on obtaining permissions, and I have found a lot of documents – reports, plans, memos, and more, and have been loading them in.

But of course, this is just the beginning; this is just ‘California Water Library 1.0.’  There are more features to be added, more pages to be written, and of course, more documents to be loaded.  I’m not done yet.  Not with the library, and not with Maven’s Notebook, either.  I have a head full of ideas – and some of them are even good.  So folks, stay tuned … there is so much more to come!

Thank you to everyone who answered the survey.  It is a great help to me to know what is important to you as I continue to scour the internet for more documents to be loaded in.  Want to weigh in?  There’s still time.  Click here to take this quick 2 question survey

And lastly, a huge thank you to my readers: it’s because all of you show up here every day that I show up here, too – I wouldn’t do it without you.  And a huge thank you to my donors and sponsors who have made continued operation of Maven’s Notebook website possible, as well as provided the funding for the California Water Library website – I couldn’t do it without you.

With warmest regards,

Maven
