BDCP’s draft Statewide Economic Impact Report released

From the Bay Delta Conservation Plan website:

“The Bay Delta Conservation Plan has released a draft statewide economic impact study that analyzes the project as an investment for the state as a whole.

The study indicates that the BDCP would result in a significant net economic benefit to the State of California, including a net improvement in the economic welfare of California residents of $4.8 billion to $5.4 billion. The study considered the economic effects of construction and operation of a new water conveyance system and habitat restoration in the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, increased water supply reliability across much of the state, and the financing of the project by water users in regions dependent on Delta water supplies.”
