The Final 2025 Urban Water Management Plan (UWMP) Guidebook has been published to the Department of Water Resources’ UWMP webpage. Updates to this guidebook were made to improve clarity and provide additional guidance. The public review draft guidebook was released November 17, 2025 and the comment period ended December 2, 2025. DWR appreciates the public review. Minor updates were made to the Guidebook based on public comment.
As a reminder, UWMPs for the 2025 cycle must be adopted and submitted by July 1, 2026, and submitted to the DWR WUEdata Portal no later than 30 days after adoption.
