The Final 2025 Agricultural Water Management Plan (AWMP) Guidebook is now available. Updates to this guidebook were made to improve clarity and provide additional resources and references and it was released in draft with a comment period ending August 22, 2025. The Department of Water Resources appreciates the public feedback received, it is invaluable to this process, and it will help inform our future efforts even if not reflected in this guidebook.
As a reminder, AWMPs for the 2025 cycle must be adopted by April 1, 2026, and submitted to DWR within 30 days of adoption.
