From the State Water Resources Control Board:
This notice is to clarify deadlines and participation in the upcoming public hearing on the draft Staff Report in support of Sacramento/Delta updates to the Bay-Delta Water Quality Control Plan, as described in the September 28, 2023 notice.
During the hearing, staff will give an abbreviated presentation in order to allow as much time as possible for public comments. Before the hearing, interested parties are encouraged to review the following resources:
- Video providing an overview of the Sacramento/Delta update to the Bay-Delta Plan and draft Staff Report
- Recording of the October 19 staff workshop providing an overview of the draft Staff Report
- Frequently Asked Questions on the draft Staff Report
Registration
If you intend to provide public comments at the hearing, whether individually or as a panel, staff are requesting that you submit a registration form by November 3, 2023 to facilitate planning for the hearing. You may also register after this date up until the hearing day you wish to participate in the hearing. However, panel presentations should be identified by November 3 if possible, or soon thereafter, to ensure adequate time is allotted for those presentations over the 3 hearing days.
After your registration form is submitted, the Clerk to the Board will respond to your form with the virtual participation information. If you do not submit a form, you cannot participate in the Zoom meeting until you receive an email with the password. You may also participate in person at the CalEPA Headquarters Building in downtown Sacramento.
Panels
Please indicate on the registration form if you intend to present as a panel. If you are unsure who might be present for your panel, you may submit a registration form and follow up with staff at SacDeltaComments@waterboards.
PowerPoint Presentations
If you would like to present a PowerPoint presentation at the hearing, you must submit the presentation to staff in advance. PowerPoint presentations should be submitted to SacDeltaComments@waterboards.
- November 17, 2023 (Hearing Day 1) – presentations due November 13, 2023
- December 1, 2023 (Hearing Day 2) – presentations due November 27, 2023
- December 11, 2023 (Hearing Day 3) – presentations due December 5, 2023
