From the State Water Resources Control Board:
Notice is hereby given that on April 28, 2022, Tudor Mutual Water Company filed with the State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) a Petition for Temporary Change pursuant to Water Code section 1725, et seq. under License 6184. The petition requests the transfer of up to 1,500 acre-feet of water for use within various State Water Project Contractor’s service areas. Water will be made available for transfer through groundwater substitution. Temporary changes approved pursuant to Water Code section 1725 may be effective for up to one year.
The transfer is proposed to occur from May 1 through September 30, 2022. The notice is below and is also available on the State Water Board’s website at: 2022 Notices.
The 30-day comment period per Water Code section 1726 (f) has been reduced to 15 days per the Governor’s Proclamation of a State of Emergency in the Klamath River, Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta, and Tulare Lake Watershed Counties due to drought (Drought Proclamation) dated May 10, 2021. This Drought Proclamation will help expedite processing of water transfers. Comments filed in response to this notice must be received by 4:30 p.m. on May 24, 2022.
