The Office of Administrative Law (OAL) has approved the emergency regulations the California Water Commission adopted on August 19, 2020, which will allow applicants in the Water Storage Investment Program (WSIP) that did not receive early funding during the application process an opportunity to request funds now. OAL filed the regulations at the Secretary of State’s office on August 31, 2020.

Proposition 1, Chapter 8 (Water Code Section 79755(c)) and the WSIP regulations (section 6010) allow for a portion of the Commission’s maximum conditional eligibility determination funds to be awarded as early funding, prior to the final funding hearing, in order to assist with permits and environmental documents.
