Day 1 of the workshop on the Delta Stewardship Council staff’s draft determination has ended with Chair Randy Fiorini calling on the Department of Water Resources to withdraw the consistency determination, calling it ‘premature’. Withdrawing now would allow the Department to reenter the early consultation process, or they could take their chances and wait until the vote in December, he said. The workshop will resume tomorrow at 9am.
