NEW TOOL: Public Release of Source Water Protection Web App

From the GAMA Team at the State Water Resources Control Board:

The Groundwater Ambient Monitoring and Assessment (GAMA) Program has released the Source Water Protection web application. This application provides an online, publicly available, centralized location for ground and surface water spatial data. This includes groundwater source well locations, surface water intakes, vulnerability assessments, nearby potentially contaminating activities, and other data relevant to source water protection.

The Division of Drinking Water is currently developing a tool to assess potentially contaminating activities at a defined distance, for purposes of creating a source water assessment.

Please email gama@waterboards.ca.gov with any questions or comments. Publicly available data can be added by request.

This web app has been added to the GAMA Online Tools webpage.
