The agenda for the State Water Resources Control Board’s May 21-22, 2024 Board Meeting has been posted to the Board calendar. Additionally, the State Water Board’s staff report based on California Natural Resources Agency’s annual report is also now available.
Meeting information
The State Water Board will hold its annual workshop on the status of the Salton Sea Management Program (SSMP) during the Board’s regularly scheduled meeting on May 22 from 9:00 AM to ~7:00 PM. California Natural Resources Agency (CNRA) will update the State Water Board and other interested parties on Phase 1 (2018-2028) of the SSMP. Attendees will be able to provide public comments and learn how various groups are working to address and mitigate environmental impacts from the shrinking, increasingly salty lake.

- A panel on the feasibility study for long-term restoration options
- Public comment periods in the afternoon and evening
