From the State Water Resources Control Board:
The Executive Director of the State Water Resources Control Board is considering issuing the attached Draft Temporary Conditional Waiver (Draft Waiver) to provide a one-year extension to install modified intake screens for the Claude “Bud” Lewis Carlsbad Desalination Plant in response to the attached requests by the San Diego County Water Authority and Poseidon Resources (Channelside) LP. The Executive Director is authorized to issue waivers in accordance with Section III.M.1.a. of the Water Quality Control Plan for Ocean Waters.
The Executive Director is soliciting written comments from the public on the Draft Waiver. In order to be considered, all comments must be submitted to Claire.Waggoner@waterboards.ca.gov no later than noon on Thursday, March 23, 2023.
