NOTICE: Emergency Regulation For Sacramento-san Joaquin Delta Watershed Approved By Office Of Administrative Law

On August 19, 2021, the emergency curtailment and reporting regulation for the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta (Delta) watershed was approved by the Office of Administrative Law (OAL) and went into effect upon filing with the Secretary of State. The emergency regulation as adopted by OAL is available on the Delta Watershed Drought webpage.

The State Water Resources Control Board (State Water Board) adopted the emergency regulation on August 3, 2021, in response to ongoing drought conditions and associated water supply shortages. The regulation will remain in effect for up to one year but could be repealed if water supply conditions improve, or may be readopted by the State Water Board if drought conditions continue through next year.
