After reviewing input received on the Draft Public Participation Plan following a March 2020 public review period, and given the current health situation, the Delta Stewardship Council is releasing a Revised Draft Public Participation Plan for additional public review and comment. The Revised Draft clarifies certain sections and now includes content detailing adjustments the Council may consider when in-person public participation becomes unsafe.
The Revised Draft was informed by results from the survey distributed to the public by the Council in early 2019, direct outreach to stakeholder groups, analysis of feedback received on the Council’s public engagement processes from past projects, and the public forums and comment period held in March 2020.
Once the public comment period has closed, Council staff will review and consider the input received. The final Public Participation Plan will be presented to the Council for endorsement at a summer 2020 meeting.
