Per the Governor’s updated policy on gatherings to protect public health and slow the spread of COVID-19, upcoming public meetings for the SWP Contract Amendment for Delta Conveyance will continue to offer webinar access. Opportunities for public comment via webinar will occur. Details are being developed and more information will be provided as soon as possible.
The next negotiation session for the SWP Contract Amendment for Delta Conveyance is scheduled for Wednesday, March 18, 2020 starting at 10:00 a.m. and is expected to adjourn by 3:00 p.m. The meeting will be hosted from the Natural Resources Building, 1416 9th Street, Room 1131 (11th Floor), Sacramento, CA 95814 at 10:00 a.m. Additional details or instructions on in-person attendance will be provided as soon as possible.

Public negotiation meetings for the proposed amendments to the SWP water supply contracts are extended into April 2020 and a negotiation meeting is now scheduled for Wednesday, April 1, 2020 at 10:00 am. Additional meetings may be scheduled after April 1st, as needed.
Negotiation Process
DWR has opened negotiations to the public to allow the opportunity to observe and provide comments to DWR at the end of each negotiation session. Written comments may also be submitted within seven (7) calendar days following each negotiation session. The process that DWR will follow to enable members of the public to observe and comment on the negotiations will be consistent with the “Principles Regarding Public Participation Process in SWP Contract Negotiations,” which were approved as part of the settlement agreement reached in the case titled, Planning and Conservation League et al.v. Department of Water Resources, 83 Cal.App.4th 892 (2000).
