NEW Decisions on Alternatives to Groundwater Sustainability Plans Announced The Department of Water Resources (DWR) today announced decisions on alternatives to groundwater sustainability plans. The Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) allowed local agencies to submit an alternative in-lieu of a groundwater sustainability plan (GSP) by January 1, 2017.
