ANNOUNCEMENT: Amended staff report for the Proposed Basin Plan Amendment to Establish Salinity Water Quality Objectives in the Lower San Joaquin River now posted

From the Central Valley Regional Water Control Board:

Regarding the Proposed Basin Plan Amendment to Establish Salinity Water Quality Objectives in the Lower San Joaquin River, an amended Staff Report has been posted on the project website at:  http://waterboards.ca.gov/centralvalley/water_issues/salinity/upstream_salt_boron/index.shtml

The changes to the draft Staff Report are shown in bright pink track changes. The following sections contain edits:

–          Executive Summary and proposed Basin Plan Language
–          Main Body of the Report (primarily in Sections 2-5)
–          Appendix F, Environmental Checklist

Oral comments on this proposed Basin Plan Amendment were heard at the  Central Valley Water Board meeting in Clovis, CA on April 6, 2017. The public written comment period closed on April 14, 2017. The Central Valley Water Board will consider adoption of this proposed Basin Plan Amendment on June 9, 2017 in Rancho Cordova.
