Executive Director of the State Water Board approves modifications to Reclamation’s D-1641 San Joaquin River flow requirements now through June

This just inThe Executive Director of the State Water Board has issued an order approving modifications to the Bureau of Reclamation’s D-1641 San Joaquin River flow requirements from now through June of this year in order to provide additional operational flexibility to help improve storage conditions in New Melones Reservoir, improve water temperatures needed for aquatic resources on the Stanislaus River and assist with salinity control at Vernalis on the San Joaquin River, the order states.  These were changes requested on April 9th but not approved with the April 9th modification.  If you wish to comment on this order, your comments must be submitted to the State Water Board by noon on Monday, April 21, 2014.
