California Congressmen David G. Valadao (CA-21), Kevin McCarthy (CA-23), and Devin Nunes (CA-22) released the following statement after the Senate refused to include in the Farm Bill the Representatives’ proposed legislative fix for South Valley water:
“We are deeply disappointed that California’s Senators have rejected yet another House initiative to bring more water to the South Valley, especially in light of the dire circumstances facing our farmers and communities. Despite this setback, we will continue to offer solutions to relieve the water crisis, hoping that our senators will soon decide either to support our efforts or put forward proposals of their own.”
